Silk Naturals Product Review
By Bella Rouge
Lipstick – I’ve tried many vegan lipsticks in the past, and vegan cosmetics in general I’ve found to be greasy, with little staying power. That is not the case with this lipstick!! The pigment is outstanding, with lasting power. I tried a red shade, and I found it stained my lips just enough to make reapplying unnecessary except for once after 3 or 4 hours of wear. I’m really impressed with this lipstick, and the price point is outstanding.
Chromatic Cream eye shadows – These sparkling cream eye shadows are really a great find. I prefer using a crush to apply them, and patting the shadow on instead of wiping allows for more direct pigment transfer. Once dried, these beauties will last all day and have little transfer/rub off.
Pigment Eye Shadows – Silk Naturals offers a crap-ton of eye shadows, and even has a handy guide to show you their comparison with Urban Decay’s naked palettes. The loose powders have awesome pigment, and really do compare truly to their UD counterparts at a fraction of the price! With a great selection of matte and shimmer powders, they will last all day and are very smooth and easy to apply. They also can be applied wet, which adds a great dimension. I’ve been using them regularly for my bridal applications, the soft browns and variety of shades means I can always find just the right shade for my clients.
Apricot Oil Cleanser – I know “oil cleanser” can scare a lot of people off, especially if you have combination skin and are worried about break outs. However, the beauty of apricot oil is that is actually very low comedogenic rating (2/5). It gently cleanses and moisturizes the skin, leaving a refreshed feeling. Paired with the Oatmeal Serum, your skin will be glowing and beautiful in no time!
Oatmeal Serum – I’m admittedly a dry skin girl, I’ve always battled with it and never found the right products to handle it. This oatmeal serum is fantastic! It’s light weight, none of that sticky residue that a lot of creams and moisturizers can leave behind. A little bit also goes a long way, and the price point is undeniably reasonable.
