SUBMISSIONS

Image Submissions:

Missy Ink Magazine is always looking for submissions!

We look for quality imagery which includes not only the photography, but styling, makeup, hair and model. We aim to feature professionals in the industry who strive for magazine quality or better images.

Any submissions that do not follow this simple format, which allows us to reply to submissions in a timely manner, will not be considered.

  1. 6-8 high res, unwatermarked images (at least 8.5″ x 11″, 300 DPI).
  2. Images must be from the same photo set!
    Please no single photos from different photo sets.
  3. Include full team credits (model, photographer, hair, makeup, designer, etc.)
  4. Send all images to: submit@missy.ink with subject: Print Submission.
  5. Bios are not required, unless requested.
  6. Please allow 1-2 weeks for us to reply.

We will not use any high res, unwatermarked images without consent. We require a release form to be signed by both model and photographer.

Being a nationally released magazine with long lead times, this often means we will be accepting images and planning features 2-4 months in advance.

Missy/Ink Magazine plans and photographs their own covers for the content issues, we do however accept images through the same submissions process for our Special Editions, and often select covers from submissions for these issues.

 

Written Submission Requirements:

Missy/Ink Magazine is currently accepting articles/editorial work to publish.

We look for content that fits in with an alternative lifestyle, but is still within the realm of women’s interests. We sometimes require for articles on a specific theme, the best way to keep up to date with our needs is to follow us on Facebook.

Any submissions that do not follow this simple format, which allows us to reply to submissions in a timely manner, will not be considered.

  1. Subject line: “Article Title”, article submission
  2. An exerpt from the article, preferrably a section to
    “hook” us that gives a clear picture of the written piece.
  3. Attached document in any of the following formats:
    .doc, .docx
  4. Send pitches to: submit@missy.ink
  5. Bios are not required, unless requested.
  6. Please allow 1-2 weeks for us to reply.

We will not use any writers work without permission, and a release form is required to be signed and returned promptly upon approval of submission.

Tattoo Artist Submissions (Canadian Artists only)

Missy/Ink Magazine features a Canadian tattoo artist in every issue; we are currently only accepting submissions from Canadian artists. To be considered, please follow the guidelines below:

  1. 6-8 high res, unwatermarked images of your tattoo work (do not worry about them being properly blacked out in the background).
  2. A short biography, including where you work/have worked and your location in Canada.
  3. Any websites we may be able to view more of your work on (your site, Facebook, etc.)
  4. Send all images to: submit@missyink.com with subject: Tattoo Artist Submission.
  5. Please allow 1-2 weeks for us to reply.
